Job Description
The American Association for Health Education (AAHE), an association of AAHPERD, seeks applications from those qualified to serve as the Association’s Executive Director. This is a two-year Interim position.

The AAHE Executive Director provides professional leadership and administrative support to the AAHE Board of Directors; develops and implements plans for fund raising, grant and contract procurement; serves as an advisor, consultant and resource person for professionals, and; represents AAHE and AAHPERD as a spokesperson on professional issues pertaining to the interests of AAHE; and manages day-to-day operations of the association.

Requirements
Candidates will demonstrate a combination of the following:

1. Advanced degree, doctorate preferred, master’s required. (one degree in area served). 2. Experience in health education and protecting, improving, and promoting the health of all people. 3. Excellent oral and communication skills. 4. Demonstrated skill in fiscal management including the ability to oversee and manage association budget and secure external grants and funds. 5. Strong facilitation of program development to generate association programs and products. 6. Understanding of and capability for association management and service, including appropriate administrative and interpersonal capabilities.
