ESU is currently accepting applications for a tenure track position in the Physical Education Teachers program for Fall semester 2010. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on pedagogy related to school curriculum and provide support for field experiences and clinical experiences. Specifically, teach motor learning and development to undergraduate students. Advance the mission of the department by contributing to the development of new and innovative programs. Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Physical Education or a related discipline with an emphasis in pedagogy, curriculum and instruction. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply but should make clear what progress they have made on their dissertation. All candidates should demonstrate their ability to implement standards-based curriculum, instruction and evaluation, apply the Spectrum of Teaching Styles, and use technology to enhance student learning. Evidence of scholarly competence through publications, presentations and/or research is necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching motor learning, motor development and elementary physical education content courses, and "teaching games for understanding" is desirable.
